Walking on Sunshine

Today, I am feeling rather happy. I am getting married in eighteen days (and seventeen minutes). In just under two weeks we move our belongings in our new house and fiance will take up residence there and wait for me to join him. In nineteen days we leave for our honeymoon cruise. And in twenty-five days we return home to our new life together, never to be apart again!

Sorry if I have you huffing and rolling your eyes... I'm definitely a hopeless romantic, on a down hill train, with NO chance of slowing down now! How can a girl dismiss the perfection of a life such as has been given me?

Today I'm thankful, for the wonderful man I call my own, for the home that we will make ours, and for a life that we will soon share.

I know this for sure, I'll never miss the nights he wasn't there, I won't be saddened by the fact that my single years have passed, and never will I question if there was a man made by God somewhere out there for me to find.

Love you guys! See you at the Wedding!

Showers of blessings...

Well our wedding showers are over. It seemed like it went by so fast! I had a magnificent time at both of them. It was good to see family and friends and I enjoyed them getting to know one another as well. Fiance and I are grateful for all of our beautiful, wonderful gifts. Thanks to everyone!

Here are a few pics in case you missed anything :)

For you, Cupcake <3

Wanted to share a scrumptious recipe with my friends today. Enjoy!

Coconut Cupcakes

4 eggs, separated

1 1/4 cups sugar

2 tablespoons margarine, melted

1 1/2 cups finely shredded coconut

3/4 cup self-rising flour

Directions:
Beat the egg yolks, sugar, and margarine together until creamy. Add the coconut and flour. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until firm, then add to the mixture.
Pour the mixture into shallow muffin pans with paper liners, and bake in a 350°F oven for approximately 20 minutes.

In our lives

For those of you who heard about Skybus and their recent decision to file bankruptcy, and now for those of you whom I just told, fiance and I had tickets to fly home with their airline. Yeah, that feeling in the pit of your stomach that you're feeling after hearing the news, I know what it's like, multiplied by about a hundred. At first actually, I felt rather confident that, though we may spend a little more, we would certainly find another flight. After my search started into the third hour that feeling had long since faded. I'll spare you the agony since this bump in the road passed two days ago, and share with you that we did in fact find a decent priced flight and the newly weds will be returning home without having to hitch-hike.

In more recent news, as I'm sure you noticed, the wedding invitations have been mailed! Now it's your turn. :) We're excitedly waiting to hear from you :)

This past Saturday we attended our first wedding shower. It was so nice. I enjoyed meeting a lot of fiance's family and friends of family that have been a part of his life for many years. We received lots of nice gifts and the refreshments and preparations were lovely!
Our next shower is this Saturday with my side of the family and we're looking forward to it as well!

Our planning these days has dwindled down to the simpler things such as attaining the marriage license, paying remaining balances, and making sure that all attendants are prepared for the big day.

The next BIG thing on the calendar will be our move. We look forward to bringing all of our things together and making a home of our own.

Be on the look out for details in all that we have going on in the upcoming weeks! Love you all!

Going to the Chapel

Okay, here are a few ways to tell when your wedding is just around the corner...

I've been putting laundry away in white high heels (wearing them in for the big day). My next three weekends contain at least one of the following photography, gifts, or cake! 98% of the calls to my cell are from vendors or family with wedding related questioning. I live in the middle of an already small room surrounded by piles of cardboard boxes; most of which are packed with newlywed necessities.

I'm overjoyed by all of the things that are up and coming in the next six weeks. Life as I knew it has begun to spin into something new and wonderful. I am ready to be a wife. And ready for everything that comes along with it! :)
